Our Programs
Crisis Transitional Housing
We provide emergency transitional housing to youth and young adults who are literally homeless. Our programs are designed to offer immediate relief to young adults in crisis, providing a safe, home-like environment with an expected stay of 30 to 90 days. During this time, residents work closely with our case managers to develop a personalized service plan for long-term stability and independence.
Key Features:
- Safe and secure housing with 24/7 staff support.
- Access to basic necessities such as food, clothing, and hygiene products.
- Assistance with obtaining critical documents, including state IDs, Social Security cards, and birth certificates.
- Drivers Education courses for those interested in obtaining their driver’s license.
Our transitional housing program is a critical first step in helping young people regain stability and prepare for independent living.
Case Management and Personalized Support
Each participant is paired with a dedicated case manager who meets with them weekly to create a customized roadmap toward stability. Together, they identify goals, access community resources, and develop strategies to overcome challenges. Our case managers provide ongoing guidance to help clients achieve self-sufficiency and independence.
Services Include:
Personalized goal-setting and action plans.
- Assistance with accessing public benefits such as SNAP (food assistance) and Medicaid.
- Support with education and college enrollment, particularly for those who have aged out of foster care.
- Referrals to community resources for additional support.
Our case management approach ensures that every young person receives the individualized attention they need to succeed.
Medical and Mental Health Services
We understand that physical and mental health are critical to overall well-being. Upon entering our program, each individual undergoes a comprehensive assessment to identify immediate needs. We partner with local healthcare providers such as JPS, Mesa Springs, and MHMR to offer access to:
- Primary medical care and dental services.
- Mental health counseling and therapy.
- Substance abuse treatment and recovery programs.
- HIV testing and prevention services.
Our goal is to ensure that every young person has the tools to heal and thrive, both physically and emotionally.
Domestic Violence and Intimate Partner Violence Support
Recognizing that young adults experience domestic violence at disproportionately high rates, we provide specialized support for victims and survivors. Our team works closely with state and local organizations to ensure access to:
- Safe housing options for survivors.
- Counseling and support groups.
- Legal advocacy and assistance with protective orders.
- Training and resources to help individuals rebuild their lives.
We are committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for all survivors of domestic violence.
Job Readiness and Educational Support
We believe that employment and education are key to breaking the cycle of homelessness. Our program offers:
- Resume writing workshops and job readiness training.
- GED assistance classes and adult high school diploma programs.
- Vocational training programs and certifications in high-demand fields.
- Partnerships with local employers and workforce development agencies for job placement assistance.
By equipping our clients with the skills and confidence they need to succeed in the workforce, we help them build a path toward financial independence and a stable future.
Life Skills Development
Our staff is intensively trained in life skills coaching, ensuring that participants gain the fundamental skills needed for independent living. Our Life Skills House Manager provides guidance in areas such as:
- Cooking, meal planning, and budgeting.
- Daily chores and laundry.
- Using public transportation.
- Personal hygiene and self-confidence.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving.
Weekly group sessions are held to address the unique needs of each participant and ensure they are prepared for life after the program.
Financial Literacy and Savings Program
We offer a financial literacy program designed to help young people understand the importance of saving money and budgeting. Participants can choose the amount they would like to put into savings, and upon completing the program, they receive their savings to assist with transitioning into independent living.
